yaid is an IDENT/AUTH daemon for Linux systems.
Unlike other identds, it hands out hashed responses:
base64(md5(query-ip, destination port of connection being asked for, uid of connection owner, $secret)).

The response is constant as long as these four stay the same.
yaid runs from (x)inetd or tcpserver and logs to syslog or stderr.
yaid is released under the GNU General Public License, Version 2.

Latest release is
yaid-0.0.2.tar.bz2 (gpg signature)

The latest development version can be obtained using git:
git clone git://git.breakpoint.cc/fw/yaid.git (gitweb)

You can report bugs to fw-yaid @ strlen.de.
